Posting this In case you're wondering what I followed when revising the item values.
Note that the levels listed are the level requirement in the toolset
For non-weapons
Lv21 - Ruby portal drops, Diamond portal store-bought items and common drops
Lv22 - Diamond portal rare drops, LL portal store-bought items and common drops
Lv23 - LL portal rare drops
For weapons
Group 1: Lv21 Lv22 Lv23
Group 2: Lv23 Lv24 Lv25
Group 3: Lv25 Lv26 Lv27
Ruby portal uses group 1. Store-bought and common weapons use the left number. Uber drops use the right number
Diamond portal uses group 2 which is a bit different. Homeland weapon drops are lv23, Tokage weapon drops are lv24, Celurin drops are lv25 and. There are exceptions to Celurin which I'll list below tho
LL portal uses group 3. Common weapons are lv25, not-so-common ones are lv26, very rare weapons are lv27. ie out of all the loot merchants in the area only 1 or 2 of them are lv27.
Exceptions for Deep Forest of Celurin:
Store-bought weapons are lv22.
Dfangris boss drop weapons are lv27.
This is because Celurin stands on the thin line between LL and non-LL.
Why isn't everything capped at lv23?
Items go up to +7ac
Weapons go up to +10ab to keep pace with AC. I made a +7 lv23 weapon then bumped it up to +10 and it became level 27.
When I put 6754635256758 damages on my +10 boss drop it goes way above level 27 =(
Then don't make it a +10 weapon! Linoth boss drops are +8 and they're level 26 weapons with like a half dozen damages on them and keen. Also if you can't put 6 2d12s on then drop the 2d12s to 2d6s or something. That way we have variety and players can make choices - Do I want a weapon with high accuracy and low damage or the other way round? Do I want a weapon with high damage in a single element or a weapon with multiple elements but lower damage amounts in each?
Post questions here.
