This is the build I'm working on now, and so far it has been excellent. Seems like a real winner, on this world.
Race - Human (Illithid)
Align - Lawful Evil
Stats: Starting (What Illithid takes it to) [Ending]

Same as last time, I put down what I wanted to take and when, and it turned out *slightly* different. These feats are all what I wrote down, because I'm a doofus and can't remember how I really did it. But no matter what order you take them in, the idea here is definitely the same. So have mercy.

Max UMD, Tumble, Discipline, Hide, Move Silently, Concentration (for casting darkness and such in battle) .... let's face it... with Illithid, you're a Monk/Assassin with 20 INT. Max anything and everything you want.
HiPS, 50% concealment even without any buffs, can cast my favorite spell (darkness), has a nice Death Attack to beat back those filthy Dfangris Archers, with all the +dex (not to mention the +12 wis from equipment you can give him) equipment out there he has a great AB and AC, and thanks to haste and flurry of blows he'll be swinging at everything that moves - and mostly hitting.
But most importantly, he's a hard sucker to hit. You forget the first attack each round, they have to get past his 50% concealment bonus and HiPS (the fight is over when YOU say it is!) and on top of that he'll have AC in the 110s with the right gear.
The best thing about this build is that it'll have everything you need it to have, even with the impending toning down of equipment. This guy can essentially hold his own, but he really shines in a good party.
