Okay, I found a post from Samius Maximus about the PGS concerning PC's being allowed to be in multiple guilds. I pretty much agree with him. Also, if you were in two guilds this would happen if the guilds you were in became enemies: Because of Guild A, you would show up as an enemy to guild B. Because of guild B, you would show up as an enemy to guild A. Thats not good...

"Can players be involved with more than one guild?"
I've been asked this several times, but I had several reasons for limiting players to only one. First and foremost, I think the one guild limit helps promote a better guild member base. What I mean by this, is that when recruiting it's important to keep members happy, else they disband and go elsewhere (bribery, anyone? ). Another reason, is the problem that arises when a player is involved in two guilds that are currently enemies. Do we force that player to choose, or have scripts do the choosing (not a good idea). I do, however, understand why some people would like to be in more than one guild, but that might require a lot of upkeep on the player's part.

Ive been playing with trying to allow PCs to be in multiple guilds. It doesnt work...to many issues and situations. Now this does not mean that there cannot be spies. Just because you belong to a guild, does not mean that you belong to that guild... ^_^ - Nightmare

I would say, leave it be. If you want to be a spy for one guild on an enemy, its as easy as removing from your guild to join the other... this also has good plot additives involved. Say, for instance, guild leader B has been hounding this PC to change sides, and one day hears that said PC has been disbanded from his current position and guild (exiled, whatever) And invites him in.... But for real, Guild leader A has assigned said PC to remove himself voluntarily to go spy on Guild B, wherefore... perfect guild plant, 007 style ;D

I'd have to say I prefer the "one guild only" rule. Promotes more loyalty for the guild you're in. I can't wait to see the new guild system in action!

Okay, removed everything for the multi guild stuff... ---------- Now it might just be me...because of how many times Ive seen it, but do you like this message and the others just like it? The guild The Mooninites, which is a public guild, currently has 2 guild member(s), and is lead by their leader, Ignignokt. " We are the Mooninites! Bow down before us!" Or should it be more short like this Guild Name: Guild Leader: Total Members: Privacy Status: Description: ---------- Also, I have an idea for guild colors. So im going to set that up too. Its so that members know what colors of armor they should be wearing, and an option to set those colors on their current armor (optional by mod builder) And, because of the way Knat's NBDE is set up, you can change stuff while the PC is offline! (all done from the member list) - Nightmare

Not having any real preference for either one, I guess just keeping it the way it is is fine.
I have a question though...what exactly has been changed now, what are any further plans, and when do you think you will be done (just a ballpark figure on that, as RL tends to take a bigger chunk of time than what's usually planned)?
Also, will you put out a short instruction manual on your system? Most people I've encountered dont know or understand the pgs system we have now.
That's it night, and I'm really looking forward to seeing it in action ;D

Maybe sometime September? College started so...Ill try to finish it before the classes get overwhelming. Its more of an add-on really. Tried some things that took some time and ended up failing, took some time to track down a bug, then ended up finding out that it didnt affect the PGS! Then set up something for offline changes(would only change if the player logged on afterward), then figured out (after looking through the source) that with Knat's NBDE, you can change it directly!( and So a lot of these kinds of things happened...And sort of spent a lot of time with family...and the fact that I have to share the computer, really limits my time. So im just going to finish up a Netheria version (because I dont know if some things are possible using just APS, so Ill have to learn about that). And then we can fine tune it and add more. As of now, I know the PGS inside and out. So changes afterwards should be fast. - Nightmare
